I’ve roamed and rambled and I followed my footsteps,
to the sparkling sands of her diamond deserts;
and all around me a voice was sounding:
“Did you make that?”
Ru Raynor is a multi-disciplined creator originally from the industrial wasteland of Slough, England. She has lived in such far flung places as Volcano, Hawaii, and Capel Seion, Wales; and spent 2019 living across Japan, settling in Kochi, Shikoku for 6 months to run an izakaya.
Ru graduated from Central St Martins with a Ba (Hons) in Ceramic Design in 2013. She has lived in a bender, a caravan, a waste house, countless terrible HMO’s, an eco-squat/protest camp, a Kyoto townhouse, and a former rehab centre in the Welsh countryside.
Ru’s mediums include hand-built porcelain figurines, applique wall hangings, trousers made from bedsheets, watercolour, ukulele songs, and cake. She is available for commission. Ru has also worked as a life drawing model in both individual and group class sessions.
